Okay, today's topic is a good one. Education. It's somewhat of a debated topic. It's a heated topic, and you know, a lot of different opinions and thoughts and feelings on the matter. And so I advise you, we're gonna read the Paleoites and see what he has to say in terms of actual practice. Probably some of these things you gotta take with a grain of salt, but again, this is the safer we're learning. And so let's see what he has to say. Ready? I hope I didn't scare you off. Okay, say if it says chanoi chlidnar, alphi darkukam kiyaskin, lo yasur, vimeno. You have to educate and train a child according to his way when he's younger, so that way even when he gets older, he will not deviate from the path. Vizo mitzvah sa'av al-haben. This is the mitzvah, lechanchoi betarva mitzvah, to educate a child in Torah and the performance of mitzvah. This is the purpose of having children, the Godla Malatar, to raise them for Torah and divine service. Meaning part of the educational process is not just oh olive bays and learning and davening and shaking lulov, but also being being a yit, being a mensch, being a a a good human being, umidus tovos, to have pro um great character, to be honest, meaning to raise the kids in a way where people can look upon those children and say, ah, those are Jewish kids. It's a meaning it's the greatest Kirush Hasha, Vikalchem, Via Gilem Bemidas Hestapkos to train them also in the area of being happy and satisfied with what a person has, that they shouldn't be um so needy and wanting all these um you know extraneous things. Vyafim chanano hashem oysha, even if Hashem gave the family wealth, Yargilas Banavlustopic betovima ad k desha low, yitzar lem itosbatzar, even if they have means a a parent is obligated to educate his child to grow up in a way where he doesn't need all that stuff, where he's not facing um and desiring um luxuries to withstand, because there could be times in the person's life when things will be difficult and he won't have that those available. So if you engender in him a general feeling of histabkus, of being satisfied with what a person has, then then he'll be okay, he'll be able to get through. A person who wants to educate his children, don't show them your face, rak lam yaqim, hit them, and and and and say things with your mouth, rebuke them with your mouth, but even sloy, if don't turn it off yet, okay? Wait till he in the next paragraph, and I hope something gets clarified on that point. Um because probably, yeah, probably you shouldn't hit them. Okay. Uh, even if it's only a child, better to show um love that's more concealed until he gets older. Meaning, if you chuck away the rod of discipline, then that's not good for the child. And and that that much is true. Of course that's true, right? If there's absolutely no discipline, then it's just hefkerveld, and that's also not good. Look what happened with David and his son. Al Asher Allah of meyov lema du a kocha sisa. You didn't give him enough rebuke. And it says, the hands of the merciful mothers cook the flesh of their children in sepasak and echa. Um a child by by not by definition, by nature, he's more into he's in the realm of folly and somewhat foolish, right? He's not fully educated, and therefore, if you distance the shaivat of Musr, if you the staff the staff of discipline, if you don't have that, then he's gonna remain in that state of evelis, in that state of folly. So you need to apply that Shaiva of Mussur, and therefore um the folly will be distant. Okay, Val if he died to Shelbenalfi, Shonov Jil Galgil Imo. It all the when it comes to Khenach, it depends very much on the discipline, on the particular circumstance, on the age of the child, Pambahos, sometimes you need a hit, sometimes hard words, pamumba koshos, pambirakos, sometimes soft words, pambemanos matanos, sometimes it's with gifts and presents, it almost sounds like the palioids in this list is like going through the generations. And obviously, based on that, in our generation, we would be this final um line item on the list. In our generation, it's the Dvarim Taivum that most of us need. Vihal Khem Bekhvar, educate children that to respect other human beings, as a funemksherif, that they shouldn't be so stiff-necked and stubborn. Vyarkikem Micharascha Virum Rum. Educate your children in a way that they have good friends, to stay away from oaths and from h um frivfulness and laughter. Obviously, they should laugh, but you know, like Laitana's omina kire and from indecent um actions, omina dimalo and the like. Of course, it needs a person as to uh try to get into the kishkas of where my child, what's making him what makes him tick, to get into the khadre betan of the child, the underbelly. Of course, at the end of the day, it goes without saying we have to beseech the Rabonuslam and askin, Vishia, call Zara Zara Kadesh, Kodash, Zara Nashim. We have to Davin for the education of our children. Um and Mirthashem, Visharo Zara Kadesh, all of our children should be holy and part of the uh human beings that are in the realm in the realm of Zara Kadosh, in the realm of Kaddusha, in the realm of holiness. Wishing you an amazing rest of your day and a holy Shabbosad, and Mirthashem will finish with this section of Genug on Sunday. All the best.
