Competition Often Leads to Strife | Pele Yoetz | Hachzek Day 126
Hope all is well. Monday, uh day one twenty-six Palayoids. Here we go. In very important section, the section of Yisrun, not feeling superior to others. Here we go. Says the heli good palayoids. It's true. It says, Alikani libcha bakatam ki embiers hashem kolay. There is a place for uh being jealous, right? Don't be envious of sinners, but be envious of those who fear Hashem. So there is a place we see to want what others have, right? Uhsiba Tikani wachabacha, veyam rukana say from Tabakmah. Like it says jealousy between scholars increases wisdom. It's true. It's okay and actually good and a positive thing to have jealousy in these instances when a person is motivated by the factor of wanting to also climb higher and higher in the realm of spirituality. In fact, the person is supposed to stay. He's supposed to call out and say, When will my actions mirror those of my forefathers? Which is really three fathers, but you get it. Lokadilida Muslahem, not that I will be them, that's arrogant. Not for my own glory, not to be praised. Not to receive some external reward. But specifically with the intention of bringing pleasure to our creator, to Hashem. That's the greatest thing. Somebody whose ambition is thus, Ammar Yomar Haeved, then the servant will say, would that the entire people of Hashem could be prophets, meaning in theory, Hashem coming, everybody could be a prophet. Now it would be amazing if Hashem were to desire to do so. This person should live with this idea to gain wisdom and Torah knowledge, to increase and grow in deeds, to grow in the realm of spirituality exponentially. This person has this mindset, you'll say, you know, if I don't merit this success, if I'm not seeing that, then guess what? Maybe it's my sins that are withholding this good for me. Why? Because these sins actually create barriers. The pachus, you a chair, mshiasu nakas ruach la avis shabashemaim. At the very least, this person should have the humility to realize that, hey, there's others who are doing what they're supposed to be doing. Let them find success, let them bring pleasure to my father. At the end of the day, he's my he's my father. And so if I realize that Shem is my father, we're siblings, so you're not jealous of the sibling that's bringing to your father. Ya vohatovmi call muckum. Let the good come in any way. If it's for me, great. Try to make it from you. But maybe sometimes it's not going to be from you. Maybe it's going to be from him and make space for them. Maybe Hashem will see fit to give my fellow more than me. Is it not certain that it should be fitting for me as well? Meaning if it's good to Hashem, and that's how he decided, and now I'm saying, no, I can't be like that. I need to be superior. That means you're not agreeing with Hashem. I mean, if it's a good with Hashem, it should be good for you. Um and this takes humil, this is Mammish, takes humility. Rakishtadu, kichola bamyodi. I can a person should say, realize that I can only do my best effort to bring pleasure to my creator with whatever opportunities, with whatever resources that I am given. And Hashem will do what he deems as good. Uma gambi mili d'Allah, this is true, especially in the worldly uh realm, Shekla Yusunas Haym Heva Rusra, where the advantages that a person has over his fellow, they're all just futile, right? The bigger home, the bigger car, the bigger wallet. Right? What advantage does a person really have by trying accumulating more and more wealth and honor? Somebody who has even a little bit of intelligence will realize that these things are just of great futility. At the end of the day, it goes back to this. We mentioned it before. Who's really wealthy? Somebody who's happy with his lot, with what he's given. This person is good hearted. He relates to other people with love and affection. He doesn't find a need for competition, which always results in strife, whether externally or internally. Fortunate will be him in this world, and it will be good for him in the world to come as well. So at the end of the day, and at the beginning of the day, and in the middle of the day, Yisuran is such an important topic, not to feel superior to others, realize that we're all in this battlefield of life, and we're serving our creator, our Avi, our Father. Sometimes that pleasure will come from um ourselves, sometimes it will come from one of our siblings. Uh, but be it as it may, we should not be jealous of others and we should try to uh erase the feelings of competition that so often um uh infuses and and and enters into our brain space. Let's not waste our time on that. Okay, wishing you all the best. I mean it's gonna tomorrow I'll pick up with a new topic, the topic of Eureda, and have a wonderful day.
